Huh. You’d think they would’ve wanted to test more fossil samples before making the press release. I know revision happens a lot on paleontology, but it’ll be embarrassing to read an article in a few months that says “Whoops, sorry guys, our technique is totally shitty and not as accurate as we thought.” If it does bear out, though, this is very interesting indeed.
