Welcome!
The link from the Scientific American blog post probably explains where all the new reblogs and followers came from. So, welcome to everyone who joined us in the past week! There’s an ask link over in the sidebar if you’re interested in leaving comments or asking questions. Who else is looking forward to a new year of new dinosaurs?

How to Name a Dinosaur →
A subject near and dear to my heart, as longtime readers may know. This is already an excellent explanation behind dinosaur naming and a guide to coming up with one that doesn’t suck; so imagine how much more awesome I thought it was when I discovered a link to my very own dinosaur bumble blog. Short for “dinosaur evolution” of course! Apparently the guy who helped discover the lamely named Koreaceratops was also responsible for the team who discovered the better named Medusaceratops earlier this year. And also Koreaceratops, for all its lame namedness, fills a gap in the evolutionary records of the ceratopsians. Good for something!

If you’re going to include dinosaurs on your ark, at least do it right.
